My mom, Melissa and me are shown enjoying Mother's Day brunch at my niece's house in 2022.
Marc goofing around with Sofia Carmela, the cat with attitude. (2024)
A baby lemur, one of the Philadelphia Zoo's residents in the animal nursery at the time, climbs up for a photo. Animal babies were always good for news coverage. Photo by Amy Sancetta. (1984)
Me with my best friend, Fran, during the first America's Greatest Teddy Bear Rally. I ran this event when I worked at the Philadephia Zoo. Fran was between college and grad school at the time and helped me out by wearing animal costumes at events, like this bear costume, a gorilla suit and an owl. She has since forgiven me. Photo by Amy Sancetta. (1983)
Me, around age nine, writing at my desk in my bedroom while listening to music. (1969)
Melissa and me lounging in my parent's bedroom watching TV and snuggling with Tommy, the twenty-pound ginger cat who was our "furred brother" growing up. (1967)
My mother, me, Melissa and my stepfather, "Daddy" outside his parent's house in Connecticut when I was four. (1964)
Me around age one, making sure my biological father, Malcolm, eats his snack too. (1961)
The missing "goat" photo of (left to right) my maternal grandmother (Nanna), her eldest brother, Sumner, and her older sister, Frances who was tragically killed a few years after this photo was taken. This is the only picture that exists of Frances. I have no idea what the story is with the goat. We believe it was a family pet. (Date unknown-possibly 1908 or thereabouts)
